The National Military Circle

The National Military Circle is an imposing edifice built in stages between 1912-1923 by architect Dimitrie Maimarolu with a monumental facade with Corinthian colonnade style and rich decorations. Inside, the decoration are no less impressive.

The Sărindar Fountain in front of the Circle stands in remebering that once on this places stood the Sarindar old church, that existed here since the time of Michael the Brave and was rebuilt in the eighteenth century, the time of Matei Basarab (1632-1654). The church was demolished in 1896, after being damaged by earthquackes.

The National Art Museum of Romania is located in the center of Bucharest, on Victoria’s Boulevard (the oldest boulevard of Bucharest), very close to the Athene Palace Hilton Hotel. It is a place where you can wonder for hours admiring over 2000 paintings and 500 sculptures.. ..or you can simply walk through it and outside of it enjoy the building and it's garden, as it is hosted in the former Royal Palace of Romania. How to rent an I'Velo Bike If you've never rented I'Velo bikes before it might seem a bit complicated, but it's really not. In order to rent an I'Velo bike you just have to do these 3 things: 1. Go get your card Go to a center such as the one on No 21, Ion Bogdan Street (near Piata Romana and Stefan Cel Mare Metro Station), or one of the I’Velo Relax rental centers located at the entrence of Herastrau Park (near Aviatorilor metro station) or Tineretului Park (near Tineretului metro station) - though the last two may be more crowded. You should have an ID with you and the sum of money that fits your needs (you need to rent a bike just 1 day - 10 lei, up to 1 month - 35 lei, up to 1 year - 100 lei).
